Kiera Connelly leads a quiet life, and that’s just how she likes it. She’s built a name as a graphic designer and meets up with her friends online, all from the comfort of her living room couch. But when a rare outing turns disastrous, Kiera finds herself up close and way too personal with an unbelievably hot real-life hero.
Zach Ashley doesn’t see himself as a hero. He’s just a regular guy who gets to help people every day as an EMT. But when he’s called to a scene and has to treat his most gorgeous patient ever, he finds himself mixing work with pleasure. He never hesitates to put his life on the line…but will he ever risk his heart?

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Erin Nicholas is the author of sexy contemporary romances. Her stories have been described as toe-curling, enchanting, steamy and fun. She loves to write about reluctant heroes, imperfect heroines and happily ever afters. She lives in the Midwest with her husband who only wants to read the sex scenes in her books, her kids who will never read the sex scenes in her books, and family and friends who say they’re shocked by the sex scenes in her books (yeah, right!).
What is your work schedule like when you’re writing?
A typical day is me getting up with my son and getting him breakfast and then off to school. I usually start writing around 8 or 8:30 and write until noon when I take a break for the treadmill and lunch and emails. Then I start again around 2 and write until about 5. I’d like to say that I do 8 to 5 but it’s not unusual at all for me to writing until 8 at night! And I write most weekends too. But it never feels like work J
Tell us a little about how you got started as a writer.
I was raised in a family of booklovers and I started making up stories in my head when I was very young. I wrote short stories and poems and even songs as a kid and as I grew and my love for reading grew, so did my own stories. I had notebooks full of stories by the time I was a teenager and discovered romance and found where I belonged! J
One of your favorite quotes.
To know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived, that is to have succeeded. Ralph Waldo Emerson
Are any of your characters based on someone you know or are they all a product
of the pen?
None are directly based on anyone in my “real life” J but I’ve gotten to know so many interesting people in my life and love so many unique and awesome people that bits and pieces of them make it into my characters from time to time! J
