About the Gansett Island Episodes…

From Marie: My fictional island has become such a huge part of my life—and yours—over these last six years, and I’ve created so many characters who speak to me between books and during the writing of new ones. I can’t possibly give them all a new story in every book, but I still have so much to say about them. With that in mind, I’ll be launching a new “Gansett Island Episodes” series in 2017, featuring shorter stories about past characters who readers love and want more of. Mixed in with these episodes will be at least one full-length book a year. So we’ll have plenty more from our favorite island, with new stories for past characters as well as all-new stories, too. I’m looking forward to this new adventure and hope you’ll take the ferry to Gansett for the new episodes!

Gansett Island Episodes: Victoria & Shannon (Gansett Island Episodes Season 1, #1; The McCarthys of Gansett Island, #17)Gansett Island Episodes: Victoria & Shannon by Marie Force
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Once again, I was connected to family and friends on Gansett Island.
A new series is born which will include shorter stories of the families
I have grown to love.
Today Victoria and Shannon navigate what each wants in a relationship.
Vic wants more while Shannon’s past hangs overhead like a dark cloud.
Victoria is an angel of mercy, a midwife ready to move forward with her life.
Shannon is a hunk of an Irishman and his accent had me licking my lips!
His past was one of inner torture.
The story flowed easily between the two main characters while allowing
the other inhabitants of the island to flourish.
I always enjoy catching up with the folks whose story have been told.
Life goes on and for three couples, the sweet sound of a baby’s cry will fill
their hearts.
Sweet contemporary romance filled with love, friendship and new beginnings.

(You are the love of my heart)

Release Blitz: Roman (Cold Fury Hockey #7) by Sawyer Bennett

Roman (Cold Fury Hockey #7) by Sawyer Bennett

New York Times bestselling author Sawyer Bennett steams up the ice all over again as the Carolina Cold Fury hockey team’s hottest bad boy gets his first taste of something good.

In a league full of troublemakers, Cold Fury defenseman Roman Sýkora stands out—at least when it comes to negative publicity. When he’s not chilling in the penalty box, the sizzling Czech skate demon is racking up tabloid headlines for his scandalous behavior with the ladies. But now Roman’s feeling the burn from management to clean up his act, or else. Luckily he’s got an enticing distraction: a fun-loving barista who plays the ukulele and brings out a side of Roman he didn’t know he had.

Lexi Robertson came to Raleigh, North Carolina, to finally meet her father, Brian Brannon, and her half sister, Gray, both of whom work in the Cold Fury’s front office. That’s where she first meets sexy, intimidating Roman—who’s really a big softie at heart. As one relationship takes off, another begins: Brian seems to be clicking with Lexi’s boss at the coffee shop. But when the friction between Roman and her new family heats up, Lexi wonders whether she’s a pawn in their game. Feeling hurt and foolish, Lexi’s ready to quit while she’s ahead. Trouble is, Roman’s not ready to quit on her.

Roman (Cold Fury Hockey, #7)Roman by Sawyer Bennett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Author Sawyer Bennett is always a go to when I crave naughty dirty talking men.
Once again, she left me drooling!
There’s a triple story going on here.
One is Roman Sýkora, team player with Cold Fury and he is a bad, bad boy!
He’s aggressive on and off the ice with players and management.
Second, Lexi Robertson the woman who not only catches Roman’s eye but is a bit
of a surprise for team owner Brian Brannon.
Third, a love I wasn’t expecting.
Roman and Lexi steamed up my kindle screen with earth shattering orgasms while
family drama and sweet new beginnings provided an even blend of both erotic
and contemporary love.
It was nice catching up with Ryker and Grey but my girlie parts are waiting for
Lucas (Cold Fury Hockey #8) due out in September!

Preorder: What Happens at the Airport by Brooke Williams

Melly Woodruff has the worst luck with men. Every time another relationship fails, she jumps on a flight to visit a friend and take her mind off her lack of love. On another broken-hearted trip, a fellow passenger gets out of hand and Wes Truitt, the on-board air marshal steps in. It doesn’t take Melly long to remember they’d met before.

Because what happens in the airport doesn’t always stay at the airport…

What Happens at the AirportWhat Happens at the Airport by Brooke Williams
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

For Melly Woodruff and Wes Truitt a rendezvous in an airport was a
spark that should have been extinguished as soon as it was over.
Something happened, something that smoldered for years.
Short story approximately 30 pages has Melly and Wes reuniting after years of what ifs and why nots each wondering and thinking of the other.
All I can say is that make out session years earlier must have been one helluva kiss for it to linger in their thoughts.
Like I said it’s a quick read that will provide entertainment while you
eat lunch or wait for your own flight.
The story moved at a steady pace with a HEA.
Sweet with some laughable scenes.
Suitable for most readers, contemporary romance with smooching
and light petting.

I’ve got a secret and I’m not telling.
Who is the mystery man Mallory Vaughn fell for is top-secret so don’t expect any spoilers.
It is finally revealed who Mallory is attracted to and oh boy are you going to love him
I can tell you this… I was licking my lips, holy smokes this man is hot, romantic and totally swoon worthy!
I’d love to share details about you know who, but I can’t.
His identity will remain locked away in my dream world of book boyfriends until release day.
I’m addicted to this series aka “Gansett Island” because each set of characters have a unique story to share.

One of the things I love about this series is you always know what’s going on with all the extended friends and family
No matter what they are there to support and champion each another.
Omg, I got the chills when Mallory and Big Mac McCarthy were having lunch, it was the first time she called him dad. He is a great father figure considering they are still getting to know one another.
She grew up not knowing who her father was so acquiring a
new family, new job and new man has her head spinning.

Hop on board the ferry to Gansett Island, plan on staying awhile
to enjoy the scenery and the locals!

Release Blitz: Dashing Through the Snow by M. Leighton

Need some fun to brighten up the holidays? Need some heat to warm up the cold nights?

Well, this is just the thing. DASHING THROUGH THE SNOW,

a sexy, snowy Christmas story by M. Leighton is LIVE!

A dash of perfect for the holidays!

Dilyn Hart hates Christmas, so when her boss (and ex-boyfriend) hands her an assignment to interview champion snowboarder and gorgeous playboy extraordinaire, Dash Grainger, on Christmas Eve, she takes it. There are several things she doesn’t plan for—a surly driver, a chalet in the middle of nowhere, a freak snowstorm—but the biggest surprise of all is Dash himself.

Dash Grainger lives for the high, and so far in his twenty-six years, he’s never met anyone or anything he loves more. Nothing has ever thrilled him as much as slick snow, cold air, and breakneck speed.

Until he meets Dilyn.

But one perfect night doesn’t mean clear, blue skies the next day. Some storms can’t be weathered.

Christmas might just be one of them.

Merry Christmas to me when I received arc from M. Leighton.
 photo tumblr_m0h8l7MsWe1qh2o7zo1_500.gif
Ho, Ho, Ho, or rather bah-humbug for Dilyn Hart who hates Christmas.
Her interview with snow God, Dash Grainger turns into an overnighter when
a snow storm traps the pair for the evening.
Short insta-love holiday tale of white hot attraction as Dilyn navigates the
pull she feels when Dash turns on his charm during a game of 20 questions.
Walls come down when Dilyn shares why she dislikes the holiday and I laughed my ass off when Dash explains how he got his nickname.
Feeling downright comfortable with each other the game leads
to sizzling dessert and the one-nighter has a ripple effect that changes
their lifepath.
One snowy night, a blazing fire and dessert ala s’mores melts her

Baby it’s cold outside but inside… it’s hot with desire.

Release Blitz Review: Water Under the Bridge by Britney King

Title: Water Under the Bridge
Author: Britney King
Release Date: Oct 25, 2016
Add to Goodreads
My whole life I’ve wanted nothing more than to fit in.
Only, my whole life I’ve done anything but.
That’s probably because I’m anything but average. After all—female serial killers seem to be a minority in today’s society.
And that’s ok—because I’ve longed for a change for quite some time now.
Which brings me back around to fitting in.
You know what one has to do to fit in?
I do.
One has to blend.
Which is great news!
Because I realize my clock is ticking, so to speak, and now I want a family. Luckily, I’ve always been good at getting what I want.
So I figure what better place to blend than suburbia?
All that stuff I did before—it’s water under the bridge now. I just hope it’s not too late to change my ways. Here’s to hoping for suburbia’s sake, too.
I mean, what are the odds I could be the girl next door?
Apparently, they’re better than you might think.
Your whole life you’ve wanted to fit in.
Only your whole life you’ve done anything but.
That’s probably because you’re anything but average— you’re a killer— but, then so am I.
You say you’ve longed for a change for quite some time now.
This is good because, well, me too.
Your clock is ticking, you want a family, but you waste so much time.
I know because I’m watching, waiting, blending.
What you don’t realize is if you want me, and I think you do, then you’ll have to change your ways because sometimes hunters become hunted.
But what are the odds of that happening in suburbia?
Apparently, they’re better than you might think.
You told me by candlelight last night that your real name is not Ryan as it said on the dating site, as you said at dinner. It’s Jude. I wasn’t surprised. We all become someone different online. As you ran the tips of your fingers across my cheek, you promised you were sorry for lying, and then you showed me when you touched my scars with your lips. You asked for the truth about them, but I didn’t give it to you. You don’t get to be the only one who lies. Which is why I haven’t told you exactly who or what I am.
It isn’t time for whole truths about anything.
Speaking of names, it took a lot to pry Amy’s last name from your lips, and you see… you do still keep her close to your heart. You’re protecting her. This is how I know. It’s dangerous, Jude. She is dangerous, and you need closure, you really do. It’s too much to go around carrying the weight of her, believe me, I know. Morris was the answer you gave when you finally relented—but you lied. Your jaw did this twitchy thing, and that’s how I knew. We all have our tells, and apparently, that’s yours.
“No doubt, she’s married now,” you add, to cover your tracks, to conceal your lies, and you are still in denial, still protecting her, and it’s okay because, luckily, I know how to hunt people.
Later, I withdrew in your lies, and you sensed me pull away.
I started slowly at first, retreating into myself and then I left and didn’t speak to you for four days. You let me have my space, at first. I’ll give you that. But the thing you need to know about women is that it isn’t space we want, not really. We want a fight. We want a man willing to burn for us—someone willing to put it all on the line. We want to go to war.
I know you have it in you, I do. This is why I don’t return your calls. This is why I play hard to get when the truth is I miss you. I miss the way your arms feel around me, the way your eyes bore holes into my soul—all the ways you seem to know me even though you don’t. So on the fourth day, when you show up at my door, this is why I practically leap into your arms. You aren’t confused like most men would be. Not you. You come bearing gifts that aren’t flowers. You come bearing breakfast and plane tickets, and you are a warrior, Jude, you are.

Water Under The BridgeWater Under The Bridge by Britney King
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I have never read anything like this before, Ever.
I’m still trying to process whether or not I liked it.
But how could I not, it was so well written. Mindfuck.
A pair of deranged psychotic killers wreaked havoc in my mind.
The writing style weirded me out, a combination of dual POVs, told through inner monologues much like listening to a voice behind the scene.
Almost like the character is a narrator speaking directly to the reader.
The book cover is so innocent looking but don’t be fooled.
Plots, drugging, murder are rampant throughout while scenarios of want
take the lead.
A game of cat and mouse, scheme and conquer, win and lose. Mindfuck.
Several times I opted to close my kindle and consider this a DNF, only to find myself moving on to the next chapter. Mindfuck.
Kate and Jude, natural born killers.
They may not blow you away but they will blow your mind.

We love death. Darkness pulses through our veins, it propels us forward, and we are seekers, always seeking.
