Preorder: What Happens at the Airport by Brooke Williams

airport

Melly Woodruff has the worst luck with men. Every time another relationship fails, she jumps on a flight to visit a friend and take her mind off her lack of love. On another broken-hearted trip, a fellow passenger gets out of hand and Wes Truitt, the on-board air marshal steps in. It doesn’t take Melly long to remember they’d met before.

Because what happens in the airport doesn’t always stay at the airport…

What Happens at the AirportWhat Happens at the Airport by Brooke Williams
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

For Melly Woodruff and Wes Truitt a rendezvous in an airport was a
spark that should have been extinguished as soon as it was over.
Something happened, something that smoldered for years.
Short story approximately 30 pages has Melly and Wes reuniting after years of what ifs and why nots each wondering and thinking of the other.
All I can say is that make out session years earlier must have been one helluva kiss for it to linger in their thoughts.
Like I said it’s a quick read that will provide entertainment while you
eat lunch or wait for your own flight.
The story moved at a steady pace with a HEA.
Sweet with some laughable scenes.
Suitable for most readers, contemporary romance with smooching
and light petting.

Note from the Author on the book’s inspiration:

I wrote “Accept this Dandelion” in a silly, sleep-deprived mood and thought that was it. But the characters in the book kept coming back to me, begging me to continue the story. Eventually, I listened, turned the tables, put a woman in charge, and created “Dandelions on the Road.” I got so much joy from writing it, I’m glad I did! Now I just hope those reading it get even half the pleasure I got from writing it.

And next from Brooke Williams….???

She has two more completed novels entitled:

After the Final Dandelion

Danica Bennett isn’t sure what she hates more…her job or the fact that she’s good at it.  As one of the many Hollywood paparazzi, she lives her life incognito and sneaks around trying to get the best shot of the latest star.  When she is mistaken for an extra on a new, up and coming TV show, her own star rises and she becomes the one being photographed.  Add that to the fact that she’s falling for her co-star, Eliot Lane, and Danica is in a whole heap of trouble.

Note from the Author on the book’s inspiration:

I’ve always been fascinated by the Hollywood life and the idea that “they” are different from “us.” The idea for Mamarazzi has been with me for a long time. I’m not even exactly sure when I came up with it, but in college, I had a screenwriting class and I had to write a portion of a screenplay. I wrote “Paparazzi,” which was the same general idea only with a male lead character. When I began writing romantic comedy, the idea came back to me and I decided to chance the main character to a female and call it “Mamarazzi.” I even had a naming contest so that facebook fans and blog readers could name the characters in the book. Every character in the novel is reader named and approved! Overall, I wanted to examine what happens when you take someone from one side of the fence and plop them on the other side. In the end, famous or not, we’re all just people. And in this book, they all have secrets…
